Welcome to 2009. I wish everyone a very happy and successful New Year!
It’s time again to look at the online promotional goals for your business – what are your goals for 2009?
I have specifically mentioned goals instead of resolutions, why? Goals get met – resolutions get broken. They also enable us to evaluate our performance along the way.
Here are a few ideas for goals to improve your online business promotion:
Get a website.
Your competition has one, and potential customers/clients now expect to find your business online.
Make sure your website is found for your keywords in local/national online searches with search engines.
The internet is the new yellow pages. Just being found on Google for your business name/wen address or relying on directory results is not enough.
Revamp your outdated website.
Make it dynamic, offering an interactive experience for customers/clients. Add a blog, newsletter, latest news page, or informative video.
Google loves continual fresh content for rewarding your online business with better search engine rankings and your potential clients/customers want up to date information.
Add an opt in email to your website.
Give away a free gift or e-book or offer as incentive to create a mailing list of valuable potential clients leads.
Add an RSS feed.
Let web visitors know when you have written a new article or there are new items of interest or promotions without them having to go check your website.
Write an article online for an e-magazine to publicise your business.
Join a social networking site.
Promote yourself and you business – networking really works!
Update business cards and stationary and your email signature to include your website address.
With goals, you can influence what is achieved for your business and ultimately your success!
